When Mark Ravenscraft beseeches his lecture audiences to “keep on rollin,” he is mirroring his own amazing career and sense of faith, commitment and strong will.
Mark is the president of Capital Polio Association, a 60+member organization that helps support survivors of polio and the more current post-polio syndrome. He is an active member of the Tallahassee community, on the board of directors of COCA, Tallahassee Film Society and others. He was diagnosed with polio at the age of two and has been confined to a wheelchair for most of his life. However, as the list below is but a brief description of the accomplishments of this successful man, he has not let any of the so-called obstacles in his life get in the way of his determination to fulfill his life’s goals.

Mr. Ravenscraft is founder and Managing Director of The Ravenscraft Group, an International Consulting Firm specializing in Program Evaluation, Resources Development, and Disability Police. He is a Certified Mediator, Member in Good Standing of the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators, American Arbitration Association, and a charter for all types of mediation, but his emphasis is in the area of Rehabilitation disputes and client/case management mediation.
Mr. Ravenscraft has held positions in various full time elected offices for City and County Government including Councilman at Large, City of Akron, Ohio; President Board of County Commissioners, Summit County, Ohio; and County Councilman at Large, Summit County, Ohio. He has also testified on public policy matters on many occasions before the U.S. Congress and various State Legislators.
Mark Ravenscraft resides in Tallahassee, Florida’s capital city, with his wife, Diana Lincoln. He has two sons and one grandchild. His special interests include foreign languages and cultures, classical music, and the portrayal of disability in the history of the cinema.
